I Am New!

Yes, my head is massive! Yes, my face only just fits in your frame - but hey, that’s how she drew me and it’s all part of my charm! I’m Big Bear - find me here. And remember, you can use the code happy to get 10% off your purchases :)

At The Weekend......

Hello nice people. I hope you’re all doing good. A bit of a mixture here for you today, summing up the weekend. We had a nice wander around Somerset House on Sunday. Skies were blue and the sun was out :)

We saw the amazing, handmade clay flowers installation by Fernando Casasempere. There are 10,000 of them planted on a pristine lawn! I recommend a trip if you’ve not yet been. Quite spectacular.

I’d like to have taken a seat, but Bertie was almost asleep, so we kept on walking. We daren’t settle too early if sleep is on the cards, or he’ll awaken prematurely!!

Lots of tea in my favourite cup. Everyday.

A new tea towel from Bookhou At Home - I always think it looks like something I might have made, but they got there first and did a grand job. I’ve wanted it for so long!

Table collage! Small cars are everywhere. I often find them in my bed = late night shock!

Bertie’s little leggings. I like him in these.

My mum came to stay and bought me some tulips - thanks mum!

More wheeled vehicles - I liked this red bus in the sunlight :)

And there are my tulips again. Love them. I rarely have fresh flowers so it’s a real treat. I don’t own a vase though would you believe? Disgraceful! We had to stick these in one of those glass storage canisters with the flip lid - you know the ones? We keep pasta and lentils and dried things in them. Oh well...they don’t look look too bad in it!

I hope you all had fun weekends - anything you’d like to share?

P.S. Don’t forget, I have a 10% off sale in my shops (see previous post). Use the code happy at the checkout :)

Snippets

More home snippets. I’m taking a lot of pictures at the moment and am enjoying having the urge to do so again. It went away for a while, so I was a little concerned! See those books on the floor? Well sometimes Bertie likes to sweep all the books off the shelf - thanks for that Bertie! Sometimes they stay on the floor like that all day, because I don’t have the energy to deal with them. This was one of those days!
Do you like Maisie’s Moomin toys? They were a present from her gran. I was very impressed with my mother’s present buying (no prompting from me either!). Bertie is quite attached to Little My - perhaps he identifies with her frown - I know I do!

A-Snap-Happy-Weekend

Happy Monday and new week to you all. I took lots of pictures last evening. Dan had baked a very photogenic (!) loaf of bread and Bertie kept picking off the seeds to eat. He also rustled up a delicious roast, which was followed by after-dinner-crazy-time - a common occurrence in our household. Something funky plays and out come the dance moves! We got our Maisie back yesterday too; she spent last week in Devon with the grandparents, so a happy day all round :)

♦♦♦

Hello to you. I’ve been taking random pictures around my home and enjoying the changes of light throughout the day. Does it sound like I’ve been stuck indoors? Why yes, I have! I’ve been waiting for a postcard delivery, which keeps teasing me into thinking it’s coming (including the online tracking service telling me that it is ‘in transit!’) but it still hasn’t arrived. I wasted a whole day yesterday, just waiting at home - mad is an understatement. It’s not fun when you have a two year old who needs to be outside! Hopefully they will arrive today and then all will be well in Kerryland!

In other news, we have been enjoying Rachel Khoo’s new series 'Little Paris Kitchen' on BBC1. I bought her book (she’s a pretty maid isn’t she?), which is quite amusing seeing as I don’t even cook! I’m hoping (as is my husband), that it might inspire me into having a go. We shall see; it’s a lovely book regardless. Plus, we have a very small kitchen, so it’s inspiring to watch her cooking up all sorts of delicious things in such a teeny-tiny space.

Easter In Devon

Hello folks. I hope you all enjoyed your Easter weekends. We spent ours back in my home county of Devon, catching up with family and enjoying some sea air, chips and ice cream. Despite the rather dull weather conditions, it was lots of fun and Bertie loved wheeling his new monster truck through the sand. After I took these pictures, my camera battery ran out (when will I learn to charge my battery before going away for a weekend eh?), so this was all I managed to capture. Time for a detox now me thinks, I’ve eaten way too much chocolate/general junk over the last few days, so I’m feeling a bit bleugh! Hope you’re all good :) ♡
