Hej hej! Did you have a pleasant weekend? I sure hope so! In between comforting a rather unhappy and unwell Bertie and trying to stay awake and reasonably with it (a lot of tea has been consumed), I managed to get out and watch Maisie’s dance show at the Shaw Theatre. Maisie is a very keen ‘street dancer’ - Street/Hip Hop Fusion to be exact. I felt very proud watching her in her dance-troupe busting out the moves to a bit of dubstep! Another highlight was Dan’s Victoria Sponge cake - it’s always a good’n (see below) and setting up Bertie’s big-boy-bed!
Don’t forget to check out my April Links in the sidebar :) Have a nice day/week!
Sounds a lot like my weekend... minus the dance show! Congratulations to Bertie for graduating to a big boy bed! From the crumpled sheets it looks as though he's already comfy in it.
ReplyDeleteWhat am I looking at in the third picture? Is it bedding? Whatever it is, it's gorgeous! I LOVE the fabric!!!
Thank you :) Yes, that’s Maisie’s pillow. It’s a sweet little bedding set - can’t remember where oit came from though, sorry. Bertie is enjoying his bed - shame he won’t stay in it all night!
DeleteThis cake looks delicious! Wow, so Bertie has a new "big boy" bed! I hope he'll sleep more on this one :)
ReplyDeleteLike Maisie, Florina loves dancing. And I thought about you the other day, because we went to the library and she borrowed two books of Jacqueline Wilson!
Have a great week and I hope you can get some rest!
Hello, he’s not sleeping anymore yet, but he does seem a lot more comfortable and proud of it too! Yay to Jacqueline Wilson - perfect for their age group I think :)
DeleteDelicious looking cake!
ReplyDeleteHope Bertie sleeps well in this new bed and you can get some much needed rest :)
Thank you :) Enjoy your Easter break x
DeleteGo Maisie! I love watching street dance. And come on Bertie, let your Mum have some sleep!
ReplyDeleteI'm poorly with a cold so feeling sorry for myself. So we just had a quiet weekend. And now it's supposed to snow over the Easter holidays. How rubbish is that?! x
Me too! I always wish I’d got into street dance - a bit after my time though - I seem to be trying to live the life I never had through Maisie - Ha!
DeleteOh I hope you get better soon. And this cold weather is indeed rubbish x
Good week and good rest!

ReplyDeleteAh thank you. Yes, she was very brave! I wish I had her moves! Although I’m definitely too old to be doing that - I’d look like a right plonker!
