Today I am showing you some pictures from the day we caught the train North out of the city to visit the Louisiana Museum Of Modern Art. When I asked for your Copenhagen tips, the Louisiana museum was by far the most suggested place to visit, so it was a definite on our list. And wowsers, we were not disappointed! I think you can see for yourselves, that this place is located in the most beautiful setting.
The weather was warm and sunny and the sea, so crystal clear, was a gorgeous turquoise-blue. A real surprise. I could have gazed at the view for hours (except I have a Bertie, so it wasn't possible!).
We had a nice lunch and a pleasant(ish!) stroll around the museum (AMAZING building!). It was a little challenging to take in the art that was on show though - OH BERTIE.......!
Strolling around the sculpture garden was lovely and Bertie had fun rolling around on the grass. He pretty much always wants to be outside, so if he’s taken indoors for any reason, then he’ll let everyone know he’s not into it! However, he was fascinated by the installation of microphones hanging from the ceiling complete with sound.
We wandered down onto the little beach too, where Maisie and I sat on the jetty and Dan and Bertie looked at the *shudder* jellyfish!
All in all it was one of the best days we had out there.
Have a nice weekend! ▲▲▲
Really beautiful pictures. I am enjoying reading about your trip SO much! I had my own Bertie (Soren who is now 9) and I felt like all I did for years was say 'oh Soren!' and run after him to prevent some disaster occurring. It is exhausting! Anyway, the point of this rambling is that it soon stops! :) xx
ReplyDeleteOh thank you :) That is so reassuring to read, thank you! x x
DeleteI'm so glad to read all your post from your trip to my country. :-) Louisiana is indeed an amazing place, I also love to visit it. I also have a son at Bertie's age, så I can really relate to your "problems"! My son is very active as well. ;-) Nice to hear that you had a nice trip anyway.
ReplyDelete/Maria :-)
Thank you for your lovely comment - I love your country!! And I guess they're just acting their age, but it can be rather stressful! We did have a lovely time anyway, despite the tantrums! :) x
DeleteOh Kerry, you take THE most beautiful photos. They're such a pleasure to look at!
ReplyDeleteI'm craving a trip to Copenhagen even more now, needless to say...
Ah thank you so much Kate - book that flight! x
DeleteOh my god, that looks just perfect! Hope you had a nice time!
ReplyDeletehttp://emilylikessmakeup.blogspot.co.uk/ xxx
ah thank you - it was certainly a perfect part of the world ;)
DeleteKerry these pictures are just jaw droppingly good. I couldn't work out what that picture was until I read that they were microphones! Getting out those grass stains from Bertie's clothes must be fun what a boy! Oh and I love that black and white image of Maisie, it's so beautiful. Happy Weekend Trees. Hope it's dry for you, it's bloomin pouring down here. x
ReplyDeleteAaaaw Jen thanks! I'm glad you think so. Yes, microphones - there were hundred of them! It has been pouring here too, but nicer this eve - fingers crossed for a better weekend xx
DeleteI'm loving the early morning posts, a great way to start the day while Rafferty watches Ben and Holly and hubby shores beside me. I adore the black and White photo of you.....dreamy, dreaming, 2 seconds peace.....I know that feeling well.....written whilst a toddler climbs al over me and presses all the buttons
ReplyDeleteO
thank you - yes, I like to get them out there early! Nice you get a little time to have a browse - 2 seconds peace indeed - I know it well!
DeleteOh, and that black and white picture is actually of my daughter Maisie! She is pretty much the same size as me, so easily mistaken! xx
Hi there.
ReplyDeleteIt is fun to read about and see photos of your experiences in Copenhagen. I am Danish myself, but do not live in Copenhagen. I still like to read about an "outsider's" view of Denmark. :-) It makes me happy thay you had a nice time visiting our little country.
Ah thank you. I loved your little country! I always like reading people's opinions of the UK and London too - always interesting! :)
DeleteHi Kerry, LOVING all your Copenhagen pics, your photography skills are getting more amazing by the weeks!
ReplyDeleteLoving all your CPH observations too. I remember visiting whilst we were still living in London and thinking it was the most expensive place ever but now when we visit from Norway with norwegian money it's like bargain weekend break where we shop up a storm and drink/dine like Kings!
We will spend 2 weeks travelling around Denmark and Sweden in the car this summer also using AirBnB (what a fab website eh?)
Have a great weekend x
Thanks Lisa! Nice to hear that! Hehe, I like to record my observations - even if slightly pointless! Must be so bizarre going there from Norway and finding it cheap! We found it so expensive and spent all our money on food! Jealous of your Denmark/Sweden trip plan - I'm quite obsessed with Airbnb now!
Deletep.s. Have a lovely weekend too x
DeleteLOVE! Oh I want that sofa, lampshade, house/building - live there.... ah well..xxx
ReplyDeleteYup, me too - you should have seen the museum shop - amazing!! x x

ReplyDeleteSorry for the weather here... a little unpredictable ; )
Ah, thank you. The weather was no different to the UK - it's just as unpredictable here! :)
DeleteOh, I adore your beautiful pictures of Copenhagen and it's surroundings! When we visited Scandinavia two years ago for some reason (we were in a hurry to reach Sweden I guess) we drove straight past Copenhagen without visiting, and how I regret that!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nina :) Oh you must try and get there one day - hope you do x
