I have tried to catch up on mountains of washing.
Tidied up (at last)
Dan sold his old turntables (quite an emotional time for him) and bought a posh, grown up turntable.
I have eaten Nutella on toast every single day. This must stop!
Bertie has played with his little kitchen (which is nicer than our actual kitchen). I’m quite jealous.
Grandpa Cat and Babette started hanging out....A little awkward at first, but you know, they’re getting used to each other.
It has been freezing, so extra blankets on the sofa have been super cosy :)
And there’s Bertie (with his usual serious face) having just woken up - enjoying the blankets - I promise you he is enjoying the blankets, that’s just his face!
Have a great weekend friends and thanks for stopping by this week! x

Wow Bertie looks cute a bit grumpy! Loving his kitchen, your right i'm a bit jealous of it too!
ReplyDeleteI know, it’s so much nicer than our scummy kitchen!
DeleteYour home looks really cosy. The blankets seems amazing. Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteHello, thank you. The blankets are from Ikea and Monki (the Monki one is the one on top and it is on sale at the moment i believe, so go and grab one!)
DeleteLooks like a busy week! I love your new banner and visual on your blog. I'm into pastel colors too :)
ReplyDeleteAnd it's true, Bertie's kitchen is great (where did you get it? I like that it's not a "girl kitchen" for once... you know...)
Dan's turntable looks amazing!
And Nutella, well, I know what you're talking about ▲▼
Have a lovely weekend Kerry ♥
Thanks Anabelle :) Bertie’s kitchen is from Ikea (obviously the kids section!) Yes, I really like it as it’s nice and plain and simple. Have a lovely weekend too x
Deleteoh that delicate 'just woken up' time...tiptoeing essential, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteNutella keeps your warm you know ;) x
I know, it’s such a precious moment, when they’re all snuggly and calm for a few moments. You really have to make the most of it!
DeleteYou look like you have yourself a wonderful home here. Is that a bit of Alice Potter I see in one of the photos in the form of a badger?
ReplyDeleteWell spotted, yes it is, her Badger print. I love it :)
DeleteAnita say hello to Bertie, granpa and Babette :)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
Hello Anita :) x You have a nice weekend too....and I’ve been meaning to email you for such a long time!
DeleteLOVE those blankets! Where from tell me! Some serious house bling going on there... love it. Bertie - when we meet (one day) your gonna get such a tickle! Lou x
ReplyDeleteIkea and Monki my dear ;) The monki one is on sale at the mo too :)
DeleteI am just about to tuck into some chunky toast with nutella as my Friday breakfast treat! Could easily eat it everyday though! And washing, ack, where does it come from, surely we don't wear that many clothes each day! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteYay to Nutella on toast. I think I should probably keep it for a Friday treat or something like you too. That’s the way to go. And the washing...I know! Where does it come from? Enjoy your weekend too.
DeleteI love your blog! where are the sofa and blankets from? have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! The sofa is from Habitat and the blankets are from Ikea and Monki.
Deleteamazing pics!!!
ReplyDeleteBertie's expression is just like Ru's! So funny and glad I'm not the only one with a serious boy! Love the kitchen too-tis far nicer than ours aswell x
ReplyDeleteHehe, yes Bertie is a serious one. We’ve always had to work quite hard at getting smiles and laughter from him....which of course makes it so much nicer when her does in many ways. Apparently I was the same! And Ru too, another serious chap. I’m looking forward to hearing baby news!
DeleteYour home is lovely Kerry. I am seriously coveting thos Ercol pebble tables. The wee one is very very cute! Jx
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo :) Yes, the tables belonged to my husband’s parent in the 70s, so Dan grew up with them. We have these and their old Ercol dining table and chairs now. Love it!
DeleteYou can never have too much nutella, especially when the weather is as cold as this!x
ReplyDeleteTotally agree. Comforting with a nice cup of tea too :)
DeleteBertie is so lovely:)
ReplyDeleteAaaw, thanks :)
DeleteAll tidied up ready for the half term trashing! Wee that is what happens in my house anyway. Am expecting a lego explosion. Your pictures are as always lovely and am now fighting the urge to buy nutella!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteCorrect! That’s exactly the way it’s headed - trash city! Bertie has just had a friend over, so we’re halfway there now :)
love his little face. glad you've got on top of things, the kitchen line cracked me up! gus is under the weather now - never-ending winter bollocks! (excuse language.) good news about dan - bumped into him yesterday. shame about the ridiculously long cycle though. x
ReplyDeleteYes, I had a day of cleaning up yesterday, feel a lot better now. Oh poor Gus. I agree, bollocking winter!
DeleteYes, with Dan, we’re just going to give it a trial and see how it goes. If it ruins our life, then he’ll have to quit!
Get well soon Gus (Dan still keeps going on about how lovely he is and how cute he looked reclined with his goodie bar yesterday)!
all looks very peaceful and cosy even the washing. re: nutella, I don't even bother with the toast!
ReplyDeleteHaha, straight from the jar Virginia?!
DeleteYour house looks so light and bright! I'd love to see wider photos of some of it. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Katie. Yes, I wish I could show wider images of it, but it’s so small here and I always get angry when I take pictures with the zoom lens that came with my camera....bloomin’ awful. I like my 50mm lens too much, so I can’t fit my home into a shot! One day...
DeleteYour home is so beautiful, I am endlessly jealous. You've managed to make washing look pretty. That's a special kind of magic.
ReplyDeleteAaah, thank you. What a lovely comment :) Don’t be jealous. It scrubs up nicely, but believe me, much of the time, it looks like we’ve had an intruder!
DeleteOh he's so cute Kerry. Loving those blankets... the pleasure is just oozing out of his pores! hehe x
ReplyDeleteThanks Claire. Hehe, yes, it takes him a while to warm up!
DeleteOh he's so cute – such a serious expression! I love the little toaster – I have it on my, um, wish list to buy my niece for when she's old enough! Loving the new turntable too... a beauty!
ReplyDeleteHehe, yes he’s a serious little chap.
DeleteThat toaster is adorable, you must buy one. It came from here http://www.themodernbaby.co.uk/ Very cheap, very girly, but Bertie doesn’t mind :)
I've given up on giving up nutella...
DeleteHa, I don’t blame you. I think I’ll join you there - there’s no point trying :)
Deletehis serious face just makes me crack up, and you defending it "that's just his face" is what i say about my face all the time.
ReplyDeleteHehe, I say that about my face too - he gets it from me. People have always thought I look miserable. it’s just my face!!
Deletefirst image remembers me, home :D it´s very similar sometimes.
ReplyDeleteand your son so concentrated, very cute!
:)
Deletegorgeous post. have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah. Hope you’re good :)
DeleteThat new turntable is sexy! Have a great weekend Kerry!
ReplyDeleteIndeed it is! You too :)
DeleteOMG his little sweater is darling. And that face! The sweetest.

DeleteGreat post, Kerry! I'm drooling over that turntable..I'm really enjoying your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, it’s a beauty - we’re very happy with it. Thank you for your nice comment !
DeleteBertie is such a cutie! I so know that little serious face from our Amy! ;-) he is beautiful...and I agree, we have the same kitchen and I am so jealous about Amy's being much more stylish!
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you. that little kitchen is fab. We love it!
DeleteI really like your sense of humor and the way you are showing simple life things.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
Ah, thanks! :)
Deletelove your nesting tables
ReplyDeleteand I tell you a secret I eat Nutella everyday
Yay to Nutella. We’re quite a collective here...not feeling so alone with my addiction now :) The tables belonged to my husband’s parents when they were just starting out. It’s nice that we have them now.
DeleteI am so going to buy some Nutella today!
ReplyDeleteP.S Could Bertie be any cuter?! x
Hehe, thanks :) Hope you got you Nutella!
DeleteI love the Monki blanket - what a shame they don't ship to Australia. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteOh, that’s a shame. I think they probably will before too long. The seem to be expanding all the time.
DeleteHere's hoping, I love their stuff xx
DeleteLovely photos Kerry! I'm amazed at how arty you managed to make your washing look! Jx
ReplyDeleteThank you. Believe me though, it really isn’t that pretty!
Deleteyes, i love that delicate moment when noa just woke up (well, most of the times...) he likes to snuggle for a few more minutes and is content when i just hold him. *sigh* oh - that kitchen? so much nicer than ours, too!
ReplyDeleteOh me too, precious times :)
DeleteLovely blog! F.
ReplyDeleteNice post, nice pictures! I've had a years long Nutella addiction. Unfortunatly I've past it down to my kids. We empty a jar like that in less than 2 weeks! Nothing to be proud of, I know ;-)
ReplyDeleteHaha, it’s pretty similar here too. We get through the stuff pretty fast, although my husband doesn’t like it...what’s wrong with him?!
DeleteI love your photos. And I totally understand your craving for Nutella ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you Irene and fellow Nutella fan :) I love your photos too x
DeleteNice photos, the radiator clothing experience is the same as mine, and hello nutella haven't had it for a long time...
ReplyDeleteThank you :) Ah yes, the radiators are always ‘dressed’ here at the moment!
