Parcels+Hello

I got mail!! Thank you so much lovely Amy Walters for sending me these wonderful goodies. She knew I loved her little Swedish house brooch, as I'd featured it here). I had also told her how much I loved her Kitchen print in this particular colour scheme...and she sent me a little card version, and the brooch! I am over the moon! Amy has a lovely blog too, which is well worth a visit.

So how are you all? Tell me something about your weekends if you'd like to. We got back from London late last night, and to be honest, are still no more sure about where on earth we want to live! This is becoming a bit of a nightmare!

  4. That brooch is just divine. I sympathise with you on the home-hunt, Kerry. I've always said there's nothing as difficult as finding somewhere to live in London. We lived in South Hampstead NW6 for 5 years and loved it. Both my girls were born there, we moved back to Brisbane when our eldest was 3 and a half. They were some of the happiest years - it's a great community. Don't know if you've looked in that area yet? Good luck :) Kx

  5. poor you. london is heeeuge, i wouldn't know where to start either. happy to help with any north london info. i guess if schools are the most important thing you start with ofsted, see where the good schools are, then see if you can afford close by. i imagine there will be a handful of brilliant schools, but lots of good ones. if maisie is bright and well supported at home, she might not need a brilliant-toppety-top school. most of us got by well enough on average to good comps! maybe pick just 3 top choice affordable areas and visit them over the next few weeks? please let me know if there's anything i can do or just to brainstorm. i'm good with lists!

    love that kitchen print. x

  7. Oh, sorry your search didn't really prove fruitful, I'm sure you'll find the right place in time. What did you think to Blackheath? Is it still nice, I remember it being like a little village.
    Chin up!

  11. thank you so much for this kerry! i'm so glad you like the brooch, looks great on that fantastic jumper!

i hope you find a nice place to live. we live in brixton, not sure i'd live here with little ones, BUT, brockwell park, which is very near by is fantastic! it's enormous and there are always young families there. in winter it's full of families sledging and in summer it's just beautiful with lots of big open fields, a lido, a kids paddle pool, walled garden, ducks! i could go on... i would check out the neighbouring suburbs, it gets much leafier on the other side of the park and still close to central london, but not too close.
