Lately On Film 2

* More pics using expired film in my Nikon FG-20.
* Bertie’s pyjamas drying in the sunshine.
* Looking up at the sky through the washing (like you do)!
* Little feet and a pointy finger, (before the leg incident). Thank you for all your kind well-wishes by the way. Bertie is on the mend and has just been fitted with a new cast to wear for three weeks. After that, he should be able to run around to his heart's content. I can not wait.
* Moomin fun for Maisie and Bertie.

Apparently there's a wedding going on right this minute??! I'm about to have a coffee and a bacon sandwich. Scooby Doo is on. Enjoy your weekend!

Lately On Film 1

* Some recent pictures using expired film in my Nikon FG-20.
* One of Fanja’s Babettes (I caved) and the new Toc Toc Toc (which has some of my photos and drawings inside). This little magazine is an absolute beauty!
* Capturing a busy Bertie in the sunshine. He looks like he’s conducting an orchestra!
* My newly resprayed and re-tinkered-with bicycle (thanks Dan).
* More blossom.

Picnics & Bluebells

Hello, I hope you are all enjoying your Easter breaks. I was very pleased to witness a carpet of bluebells on Friday. I think we caught them just at the right time. Beautiful. We enjoyed a very pleasant and extremely warm stroll around Wanstead Park, fed some ducks (actually, mostly one greedy goose), saw a tree with boobies (you had to be there) and of course consumed some ice-cream. Nice. We have been in Devon for the past couple of days and are heading back to London this evening. I must say, I have enjoyed the tranquility, but I don't miss it (yet).

Thursday

Hello, just a quickie today. Sadly my little Bertie has fractured his leg, so he has a cast on it. I am feeling very :( for him, but he is coping remarkably well. I’m sure he will heal very quickly.
I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Easter weekend though. I hope it is full of fun and sun! We’re heading back to Devon for a couple of days, and move into our new place this time next week. Hallelujah! Take care y’all :)

Shiny

What beautiful weather we have here, in London. Just a few randoms from some recent adventures. I had my first ‘Liberty’ experience, and spotted the new Liberty print Nike trainers. Maisie and I liked the ones with planes on the best. Admittedly, we spent very little time browsing, and more time in the fourth floor baby-changing/disabled loo, as Bertie needed a milk-fix....yes, he's still addicted!
I spotted some nice bits of sunlight and yellowy goodness on our travels, plus a handsome man in the lift....oh, actually, hello, that’s my husband! Enjoy your days :)

Out & About

We had a nice day yesterday. A picnic in Green Park and a visit to the National Gallery, where we saw the fabulous Bridget Riley exhibition. We ate some delicious ice cream and had a general mooch around in the sunshine. Nice. I won’t mention all the crappy bits (a grumpy Bertie, forgetting the cutlery for our picnic, trying to find a bus to get back, as the Victoria line was down), as this sounds like a perfect day. I’ll leave it there!

Weekend Things

Good day to you all. I hope you all had nice weekends. Some snippets from Sunday here, involving my new and summery, coral trousers (H&M of course) accompanied by my winter slippers (takes me a while to adjust)!
My brother-in-law made the most delicious cake too....would you believe, a ham and olive cake? It was soooo tasty, even though I was a bit dubious at first....savoury cake? What the...? Converted. Excuse the very unstyled food shot, ahem...
Bertie had lots of fun in grandad’s garden; look at his cheeky face peeping over the gate! He is fascinated by all the planes and helicopters that fly over here. It’s such a novelty for him, as I don’t think even one plane flew over our old house.
The day ended with a delicious meal (thanks Dan), chocolate fudge cake (thanks Dan’s nan) and a game of Monopoly, which I did not join in with, as I can’t stand it. I’m not a fan of board (bored) games.
Bye for now :)

Featured

I am very happy to have my postcards featured in the latest 101 Woonideeen. Yay!

Happy Day

Well done Maisie! She has passed her Grade 2 piano exam with a Merit. Yay! Celebrations this weekend in the form of sweet treats and the little Bridget Riley exhibition at the National Gallery (her choice, as she was learning all about Bridget Riley at school last term). Should be fun.

Parklife

Sunday. Sunshine, blossom (I know there is a lot of blossom on blogs at the mo, but it’s so pretty), a picnic with my step-brother in Victoria Park. Nice. Reminding me to hang in there. London will be good for us.

Spring Bertie

A couple of recent Bertie shots. Last night I had to cut his fringe as it has been getting in his eyes so badly of late. I have tried and tried to get a good side-sweep going, but to no avail. It just falls into his eyes every time. I’m afraid that Bertie now looks like a monk with a mullet. Oops!

These were taken during our last few days as Devon residents. At the moment, I don’t feel I’m a resident of anywhere!
