Arranging

Bertie has ‘discovered’ Maisie’s ‘Littlest Pet Shop’ toys and he loves them! I’m so glad to have kept hold of her old toys. These little friends are magnetic, so Bertie likes to line them all up and make them to stick to Maisie’s bed. This does mean that he wants to spend a lot of time in her room though (something she isn’t always so keen on, but she is incredibly patient)!
In other news, I’m in a lull. The weather is crappy, and the dull days remind me of winter darkness. Bertie still sleeps really badly, and I get barely any sleep, which is affecting my creativity. Hmph. Just a moan out loud (mol) Ha.

  3. Ah, he's age 2 right? It's that pesky year I think everyone goes through crap sleeping patterns. We certainly did. It just lasted that 1 year though. There is light in that dark tunnel! We're also still in the midst of Littlest Pet Shops. These crazy creatures can be found throughout our house.. I love how Bertie sticks them all in a row. Too cute!

  4. your blog lifts my heart when i read it, its honest and you always have a good laugh at yourself. It was great to see a pic of you last week on the blog. im abit fixated with the bunting geometrical shapes myself.i really liked the previous colours of the blog and the font. Having come thru all the sleeplessness of having 3 small people my heart goes out to you. it is a really hard time having undisturbed good sleep. it takes it toll but like you once i found i verbalised it to others it helped so good on you for having a mol, nothing like it.be gentle on yourself, fran

  9. Snap back at you re the whole sleep deprivation thing. It's a total killer. It's hard enough just mustering the energy to get through the days most basic tasks... that kind of exhaustion combined with shitty weather is hardly a breeding ground for creativity!

But no need to moan (for long anyway) with a beautiful blog like this...and gorgeous kids with gorgeous names... Hoping you get some extra zzz's tonight! xx

  13. Sorry about the sleeping.
Come over to Toronto - we're boiling over here! It's actually been so hot it's starting to wear on us.

I love your photos Kerry. You always put together such artful compositions! Even no-sleep can't kill that!

Hopefully the bad-sleep thing is just a phase?

  14. I love to study the arrangements and colors of my sons toys. They are so artfully tossed, piled and arranged! Cheer up, Ms. Seventy Tree! Sometimes the clouds and drearieness are a welcome burst of "different" for me, and I hope it somehow brings a smile to you as well.
