P-P-P-Picnic

Hellooooo! It has been a busy week here so far. Bertie has been a poorly boy, so I’ve been getting even less sleep than usual (if that’s possible!), but he’s a lot better now thankfully. The schools were on strike yesterday, so that along with it being the hottest day of the year so far, meant only one thing - time for a picnic!

London Sunshine

Hello :) Talking about the weather again, but oh my, it has been beautiful! I love magnolia trees. We had one in our garden when I was a child, so it brings back fond memories of chasing around it and playing outside.

My converse. I’ll be sad when they wear out.

On Friday, we met Dan on the Heath during his lunch break. I got myself an ice cream from the ice-cream-van-man and was just enjoying it, when Bertie awoke from his nap and pretty much stole it. Oh well!

Pretty Heath views. I wonder what you need to do for a living to live in one of those eh?! Do share if you’re in the know!

Such a gorgeous day. I’m planning on spending lots of time here over the summer. I hope you all had super weekends ♦♦♦

Spring-Sprung

Hello. Just popping in to share some spring-like pictures. Bertie and I got the train to the Heath this morning, where we had a nice wander around in the sunshine. I say ‘we’, but it was me doing all the walking as Bertie wanted to be carried much of the time. I didn’t take the push-chair either, so now my arms feel like they’re going to drop off! It was so nice to be out in the morning sunshine though. I hope you’re having a lovely day :)

Home Details

Hello, I disappeared last week didn’t I?! I am just so busy at the moment with my shop and trying to fit it all in around mummying, my poor blog has been a bit neglected. Anyway, I took a few pics of some more changes and little details around my home. We are still swapping things around and generally refreshing the place. Tumbler - here. Tray - here. Garland - here. Plant pot - here.

I threaded these giant wooden beads myself. Admittedly the cord has broken once and the beads scattered everywhere (oh the rage!). Knots were never my strong point.

Recently I took part in a swap on Sandra’s blog. I sent her tea, she sent me goodies, including this print. Love it.

This is the new print that I mentioned recently. I adore it, but it’s really hard to photograph as there are too many reflections where it is situated, so here is a little snippet. Fur Neil print from here.

I’ve been swapping my postcards around too. I ordered a couple from Lou’s shop, which you can see here, the Zig Leaf and Trees postcards. She’s been doing some great new illustrations, so go and have a browse.

Sunday Sunshine

Hello everyone, how are you doing? What a nice weekend we had here! Bristol on Saturday (see previous post) and a sunny, spring-like, family day on Sunday, wandering around, blowing bubbles and playing in the sand. Perfecto. And I finally felt like taking a few pictures again too - yay!

And look at my daughter - I think she has seen so many triangles, she is wearing them too! I very much approve of course. That’s a boy’s H&M hoodie, which I was thinking of getting for myself, but then thought I should get it for Maisie, not me! And she wears it all the time. She was very tired yesterday, having been to a sleepover the night before and not going to sleep until after 4am. I have a feeling she’s going to enjoy a bit of a party when she’s older.....uh-oh!

Blue Skies Of Bristol

On Saturday, Francesca and I went on a little outing to meet our friend Lou in her hometown of Bristol. We arrived to beautiful blue skies and warm sunshine (and Lou of course!). A pleasant stroll around the town followed by lunch, where it was so nice to be able to sit and chat without having to keep chasing after toddlers! A much needed break from the norm and I look forward to next time. I hope you’ve all had lovely weekends :)

p.s. As you can see, I didn’t take many pictures...

Awards

Hello. I have received a few awards of late, and as always it has taken me ages to get around to saying thank you here. Thank you to Emma and Jenny for the Sunshine awards!

This involves answering some questions and then passing it on to five other blogs.

Favourite colour? - Tricky. At present, neon pink.
Favourite animal? - Ok, some of you know this already (please don’t hate me), I don’t really like animals......sorry!
Favourite non-alcoholic drink? - Tea please.
Facebook or Twitter? - In an ideal world, neither, but seeing as I’m not on Twitter, I will say Facebook.
Favourite number? - 8. For its symmetry.
Favourite day of the week? - Which ever day Dan has off work.
My Passions? - Taking pictures, blogging, creating, designing, drawing, music....maintaining a happy family!
Getting or giving presents? - A bit of both is nice.
Favourite pattern? - Ummm....triangles!
Favourite flower? - Grape hyacinths and blue hydrangeas. I like blue-ish flowers.

I am going to pass some sunshine onto -

Enjoy your sunshine and thanks again ladies!

More awards to follow, but I’ll save those for another day, as you don’t need to read too much about me in one hit!
