Evening Light

Hi and how are you? I do hope you had nice weekends. I’m sure the majority of UK bloggy types will be talking about how wonderful it was to have some sunshine again! Well, I’m joining the majority; it was great! If you saw yesterday’s post, you’ll have seen that we spent much of the day in the garden. I took Bertie out there again last evening whilst Dan watched the Tour De France highlights. He likes to look for bugs (I struggle with this, but try to be enthusiastic even though I’m dying inside!) and also fill his pockets with stones - funny little chap!

Have a nice week :)

  2. Oh yea, I hear you on the bugs! Ugh
At work Im often gifted bugs from the kids along with little stones in my pockets which I forget about and they end of banging around in the washing machine!
Congrats on the good weather. We arrived back in Oslo last night to grey skies and fine drizzle (the worst kind of rain, I think!) Enjoy the sun!

    1. I can’t cope with any crawling or flitting creature! Hehe - I can imagine you having to act all pleased with the bugs you get given. We have that with the stones in the washing machine too!
Shame about the weather where you are - hope it’s nice for the next leg of your tour (which I’m very jealous of!) Enjoy yourselves!

  4. Sounds like a certain little girl I spend a lot of my time with! :) Her stone collection barely fits the box we bought for her to keep her stones in earlier this summer! And her favorite "toy" this summer has been the bug box we bought for her last month, she likes to catch a few specimens of the same species and observe them for a day, only to release them back into the wild and hunt for something else the next day. So this summer we've had ants, ladybugs and butterflies as pets, nothing too horrible so far, but I fear the day she'll be able to catch a bee or something... On the other hand, I like to think it's good for her, to be in touch with nature even though we're city-folks. (I still hate the idea of bringing bugs in.) :)

    1. Aaaaw, yes, so familiar - it’s funny when they collect little things like that! I can see Bertie loving a bug box too - sounds like she has a great time with it. I agree, it’s good for them to be in touch with nature and not fear it (unfortunately like I do!). But fingers crossed there will be no bees! :)
