Monday Ouch!

Aaaaaaarggghhh...the crashing of pans...this is the start of my week, and very much the soundtrack to my life at the moment! Bertie loves them!

How were your weekends? We had a busy day yesterday, with a journalist/stylist and photographer hanging out in our home to take pictures for a magazine. Everywhere is so clean and tidy now! If only I could maintain it...

Tooti Booti

Ok, ok, I'm back again, but that's because I'm excited about my new boots which just arrived. My husband and I got some money for our anniversary, and he bought himself some shoes, so I of course had to copy. These are mine...£20 in the Kate Kanzier sale. Lovely, (but why do I always have slightly garish coloured socks on when I photograph my shoes)?

I mean it this time.......enjoy your weekends x

Pretty Nice

Not normally one to get excited about tiles, and if I'm honest, my interest in interiors has dwindled a little of late, but when I spotted these on Bloesem, I had a moment of wow! They are so unbelievably pretty.

Made by this company. Worth a look, don't you think?

If I don't see you before, enjoy your weekends! x

One

He is a one year old! Bertie's first birthday came and went and he is now fast asleep. A good first birthday I would say...just a normal day really....a trip to the park (very short mind you, as it was freeeeezing), laughter, grumps, tears, bumps, over tiredness...the usual, plus nice family visits. I think he understood more than I expected him to. Didn't like the cake though. Just wanted his usual Marmite sandwich....should have stuck a candle in that! Thanks for all your lovely comments x

Just Stuff

A selection from my day. Bertie's random collages of things he likes to play with, favourite books, my nice diary, Tommy lamp, Bertie's scrumptious hair and homemade bread, (yes, he is still keeping up with the bread-making) jam and tea (on one of my lovely coasters, which I won from here). Nice day.

Parcels+Hello

I got mail!! Thank you so much lovely Amy Walters for sending me these wonderful goodies. She knew I loved her little Swedish house brooch, as I'd featured it here). I had also told her how much I loved her Kitchen print in this particular colour scheme...and she sent me a little card version, and the brooch! I am over the moon! Amy has a lovely blog too, which is well worth a visit.

So how are you all? Tell me something about your weekends if you'd like to. We got back from London late last night, and to be honest, are still no more sure about where on earth we want to live! This is becoming a bit of a nightmare!

Things From Today

Today the sun came out. Yay! We met daddy for lunch in the park near his work. Bertie went on the swings and got thrown about a fair bit (for fun I will add)! Also, I've been meaning to take a picture of this old library van for a while. This stationary vehicle is actually the village shop (as in it sells everything...groceries, bread, milk, papers etc etc)! It's in the village where Maisie goes to school (a few miles from where we live). We found it so bizarre when we first saw it/used it (it's very well stocked though, I will add).

Shopping List

If I were to have unlimited funds, then on my shopping list this week, would be from top.....

Favourite Place pillow by Lucky Boy Sunday (I am so tempted by this for Bertie's first birthday, which is next week...but I think it would really be for me).
More fab Fake Watches from Misako Mimoko in lovely bright, cheerful colours (I have one in green, but I like the idea of layering a few together).

I have had my eye on the Triangle Gocco Print by Design des Troy for a while now. Wonderful colour choices to uplift me from my wintry lull.

Finally, I'm completely in love with Rutty! Isn't she the best, with her glasses and woolen jumper (which I would quite happily wear...in my size of course)?! She is by Lanpelena on Etsy. She has a nice blog too.

Details Details

Well it's no secret that I love Scandinavian design, and that I love the apartments on the site Bolaget Fastighetsformedling (don't ask me to repeat that). Here, I have selected a few of my favourite rooms and details from the many apartments that I dream of living in! Maybe we really should forget London and head further East over the water....what d'you think?

Silly Me

Bertie is the worst sleeper. Still. Nothing new there, so why do I keep going to bed at stupid 0' clock?! The time I went to bed last night (or shall I say this morning), was 12.38am. I should not be waiting until the next day to go to bed! Must get an early night tonight....and dust my bedside table! Do you like the smiley face on my light? Always makes me smile....I'm easily pleased!

Stuff

Just a few pics from around and about the house. I got one of Alessandra's beautiful cloud pillows recently. I am also making a postcard wall, with bits of Maisie's art and things (things being postcards)! The sunlight in my bedroom is beautiful this afternoon, and I have new slippers and shoes (slightly scuffed already, and ignore my lovely green socks)! What is making you happy today?

This Is Nice

What a nice apartment, don't you think? I particularly like the grey kitchen with its black and white floor. I would love to have a reading corner like this too. Shame I've been reading the same book since pregnancy! How lame! I just don't get the chance anymore. I really miss reading. Can anyone recommend any good reads for when I do get back into the spirit of using my brain for this purpose again? Or tell me your favourite books/authors if you'd like to....Always good to make new discoveries! (apartment via here).

WOW!

Right! Where do I begin? Hmmmm....well firstly, I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you for all your wonderfully, sweet comments on my blog of late. I've been feeling under the weather for the past few days, so have been a little slack with replying, but I'm getting caught up gradually.

I so appreciate your kind responses to my new prints too. I am truly overwhelmed. At this moment, there are only two A3 drops left, so I almost sold out in just one day! Wow! I really didn't expect that! I think that this lovely lady has a lot to do with it...Thank you very much Christina! I also want to thank Deborah and Johanna for featuring me too.

Also, I sold out of some of my postcards (including the one above) yesterday, but I have now ordered more with express delivery, so they are back in stock again.

More A3 prints are on their way too, but in the meantime, I would really appreciate it if you could leave me a few words about any other colour schemes you might like to see my A3 drop in. Or even just tell me what your favourite designs are in my shop...maybe you'd like to see a bear in a particular colour...you know what I mean. This would be really helpful in improving/developing things further. I'll pick one of you and send you some goodies as a thank you.

Thank you, thank you! xxx

Sunday Bottoms & Biscuits

Another pair of Bertie's leggings...."I Like Milk'....very appropriate!
My husband is completely putting me to shame and has become the baking king! It is a lot to do with his new KitchenAid mixer (a Christmas gift form his dad). I'm not trying to turn my blog into a foody one, but I had to photograph the oat, apple and cinnamon cookies he made this morning.....scrumptious! Bertie thought so too! Hope you're enjoying your Sundays x
