Silly Me

Bertie is the worst sleeper. Still. Nothing new there, so why do I keep going to bed at stupid 0' clock?! The time I went to bed last night (or shall I say this morning), was 12.38am. I should not be waiting until the next day to go to bed! Must get an early night tonight....and dust my bedside table! Do you like the smiley face on my light? Always makes me smile....I'm easily pleased!

  1. Same problem here (my kids sleep through the night) I used to go tho bed to late, past midnight.
This year I started to go to bed earlier, around 10.
Feel much better during the day, after I struggled myself out of bed that is!
Love your smiley face, nice thing to wake up to!
    Good luck tonight!

  2. I am the same. Over the past few weeks I've still been pottering around in the wee hours. Sadly I feel it's my addiction to my laptop! I must learn to stop at a reasonable hour and unwind... maybe read a book instead! Hope you get some rest today. LOu x

  3. Me too! Last night I promised myself an early night and found myself getting into bed at 01.43... Thank goodness I don't have a baby or I'd be a proper zombie! Love your cup btw, where is it from?

  4. Haha. Stupid O' clock :) I do that when I'm reading novels. So I had to ban them. It's sad but I just had no self control.....

  6. Kerry, when my daughter was born we couldn't have a decent night sleep for 18 months, we were zombies.
Lack of sleep is the worst thing...
take a nap whenever you can.
    Love your smiley face!

  8. I absolutely agree abou laptop addictions being bad for sleep. I find a book I little more calming.
Although hold that thought since I'm half way through "The Shining"

  10. It certainly takes it's toll in the daytime though doesn't it. I haven't been to sleep before 2am for a whole year. Sometimes though it's just down to watching endless QI on Dave, what a serious waste of kipping time!:P Love the smiley lamp :) x

  14. Oh, I'm with you on this. Once the children are in bed though I get a renewed rush of energy as I can actually get stuff done. I had a resolution to get to bed by 10.30 and lights out by 11.00 and after a few days I really noticed the difference. Didn't get much done in the evenings though other than supper and a bit of work. May have to do week on week off!

  15. I'm a night owl too. I hardly ever get to bed before midnight and if I do it takes ages to go to sleep.

  18. I hear ya girl! I've been sleeping way pass my bedtime, like 4 in the morning! Watching silly TV or finding new blogs. But it's an awful feeling the next day. I'm gonna try to rest early tonight, too. Let's hope for no stupid o'clock for both of us tonight! Rest well!

  19. my youngest woke up 3 to 11 times each night until he reached 20 months. i nearly killed us all. but he's 11 now, and we've all survived, and so will you. you have my deepest empathy, though...

  20. I am the same way, I cannot get to bed before 1:30 am!!
We have the same Beryll lights next to our bed, we like the faces too.

  21. I know exactly what you mean! I always go to bed too late, the boy still wakes us in the middle of the night and the night is over way too early. And then, at the end of the week, I fall into bed right after the boy has gone to bed. It's a pity :)

  22. Laptop addiction here too. I go to bed far too late most nights and even though Milo is (knock wood) going through a good sleep cycle at the moment, any tiny thing easily breaks the pattern and we are back to knackered. I think it's that feeling of needing some space for yourself at the end of the day and that is often more overwhelming than the need for sleep. Though I instantly regret it when Mr early riser starts calling for me in the mornings! Sending happy sleep vibes!

  23. Amelia used to be such and awesome sleeper, i swear, she went to bed at around 8pm, slept the ENTIRE night and woke up at 8am everyday. It was magical. Until we moved to this apartment. Now she never wants to go to bed, wakes up a couple times every night and you never know what time she's going to wake up and what her mood will be :S
I should go to bed earlier, too, i keep telling myself this everyday but now it's almost midnight and i'm here on my computer! Tomorrow morning i'll be like a zombie no doubts about it!
I hope you have a better night sleep this time :) Love your smiley face lamp :)
