Shelflife

Here is a small peek of a finished corner in our new flat. My beloved Paumes books have pride of place, along with Babette. And, if you’d like to know a little (and weird) fact about me, the My Little Pony (which was Maisie’s), is there because it smells delicious, and I need it at arms length, purely because I like to sniff it from time to time. There is a picture of a slice of cake on its bottom which has a sweet, cakey aroma, and coupled with that nostalgic, plastic-y 1980s toy smell means I can’t get enough of it!

In other news, I have had a headache since I took one sip of an ice coffee about six hours ago. Why on earth? I think it’s time for bed! Nighty night :)

Make Your mind Up...

Hey peeps! I hope you are all good. We have my mum here for her first London visit at the moment, so I have been showing her around the new hood! The weather has been so temperamental and my coat has been on and off all day (what a dull piece of information for you)! It’s great to have Bertie back on his feet, even if he isn’t quite back up to speed yet. Oh, and he absolutely loves sand!

New Camera/Market

Hello all! I got myself a new, old camera recently. I had been looking out for a Canon AE-1 for a while, and just happened to stumble across one in a local camera shop. Here are a few from my first roll. I’m quite pleased, and thoroughly enjoy using it. I have lots to learn, and am by no means any kind of expert. I just hope for the best really!
I do love the one of Bertie. He was reading from the menu in his own babbly way, very loudly and with much enthusiasm! He gained a lot of attention in the cafe we were in!

In other news, if you happen to be in London this weekend, and fancy shopping for some lovely handmade goods, then why not visit the Of Cabbages & Kings Market in Stoke Newington. I have a stall there on Saturday and Sunday, so come and say hello! Or visit my shop if you wish! More information here.

Lately On Film 3

* My final few pics, taken with expired film in my Nikon FG-20.
* A lurker behind the apple tree.
* Shadows on the grass.
* Strawberries, yum.
* She’s growing up, but still loves her chipmunks!

How are you all? We're STILL in the process of moving. This has been the longest move ever! We now have the keys to our flat and Dan has been painting walls, whilst I have been wandering around with Maisie and Bertie (and standing next to James McAvoy at the crossing....Ha, I even linked to him, how sad)! I know it's no big deal...famous people are everywhere in London, but it's a big novelty to little me...plus, he is my one celebrity crush, so there!
Thankfully the weather has been beautiful. I hope that this time next week, we will actually be sleeping there! My blog posts may be a bit sporadic over the next couple of weeks, as we await internet connection/settle in. I'm sure I won't be able to stay away for long though!
Byeeeee for now :)
