Pictures from the weekend. You can read the list of what we got up to below.
In
other news, I am thinking of moving my blog across to wordpress...any
thoughts on this? I’m getting bored of all the problems I seem to
encounter regularly with blogger...like today. I can’t see the followers
on my blog, or on lots of other blogs I read. This has happened several
times lately, and I know it’s not a particularly big deal, but it’s
just another little niggle with blogger. Can you see my followers? If
so, which browser are you using? Mine is Safari.
Update...well
at the moment, I can see them again, but who knows how long they’ll
stick around for this time? Thank you for all your helpful comments :)
I can see your followers in Firefox.
ReplyDeleteI can see your followers with Google Chrome ... nice oics ! and I love your shoes ! have a nice day ^.^
ReplyDeleteI can see your followers on a mac using firefox!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine Bertie loves travelling around on the tube and buses. Sam would be on them all day :) I can see your followers in safari x
ReplyDeleteHi! I can't see them, I'm using Chrome :-(
ReplyDeleteI had this same problem - then started to use google chrome and it's all working fine now. Love these photos. You bought those boots!!! I knew you would they are so you!. Have a great week. lou xx
ReplyDeletep.s. you are welcome! My absolute pleasure sending them to you after all your support. xxxx
The worst thing I had happen with blogger recently was it synced my dashboard feed with someone elses and filled the dashboard with around 30-40 posts saying they were from "me" but they were in another language off someone elses blog. I was furious and they did NOTHING on the forums to help me. To this day I have no received a response. If i was more confident with blog hosting etc I would shift for sure.
ReplyDeletesuch a colourful post:) and yes, i can see your followers:)
ReplyDeleteLovely bits!
ReplyDeletePS: I can see them! Also use safari.
ReplyDeleteI can't see your followers, and I'm using Internet Explorer. Blogger has been a tad annoying for me too as of recent, I sign in over and over but it still won't let me post comments using my blog account. Wordpress could definitely be a good idea :).
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful pictures by the way. I love the first two. And the little squirrel spray painted onto the wall.
x.
Me too. I have had more than a few niggles with blogger but a friend of mine just started on Wordpress and it looks really complicated!
ReplyDeleteI use Firefox on my Mac. xx
If you decide to move first you can give me some tips!!!
What about typepad? Anyone on this?
I've had exactly the same problem, Kerry, and I'm with blogger on Safari too... who knows what is causing it. I did actually try to set up a wordpress page but abandoned it - don't know if I've been brainwashed but I just couldn't get my head around it; couldn't work out how to do all the things I was used to doing so easily on blogger. Good luck - I hope it works better for you. Kx
ReplyDeletei can see your followers on firefox. can't really comment on wordpress or any of the others, i've always been with blogger. i never seem to have any probs but i have a very old template, maybe it has less niggles than the other ones. love your pics. x
ReplyDeleteHi. I'm using google chrome and I can't seem to find your followers =(
ReplyDeleteWe had the same problem with our blog too yesterday: we couldn't see our follower either. But we switched from Wordpress to blogger because Wordpress it not so flexible with lay-outs etc.... But Wordpress is not too difficult, if you decide to switch.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
I can see your followers, using Chrome on OS X. I use Wordpress myself and absolutely love it -- it's pretty easy to set up self-hosting too, so you could just be theseventytree.com (if the URL is indeed available).
ReplyDeleteIf you're looking into hosting providers, I use Hostgator and have never had a problem with them. Fasthosts on the other hand, I will recommend you steer clear of -- they lost my whole blog about 18 months ago!
Wordpress is much more powerful than Blogger, but also fiddlier -- I'm a professional wed designer and i struggle to get things to look how i'd like them o_O You also need to pay to use custom designs whereas it's free on Blogger (oh, and you can self-host blogger on your own domain as well as WP).
ReplyDeleteLovely pics as always Kerry. Really like the one with the red circles, just simply stunning. Your weekend sounded amazing, i think i need a trip to London Town!
ReplyDeleteI started on blogger, moved to wordpress and now I'm back after a year. Wordpress just was not for me...it was difficult to use and frustrating. I'll take blogger any day...even with the little hiccups. And when I moved I lost all my good links so my numbers went down. But since I blog for myself and not to make other people happy. I'm okay with that.

no problem with firefox, i haven't had any problem lately, but i heard few people couldn't make their posts again...dunno what to think really, dunno if wordpress is better or not...
ReplyDeleteLove your snippets of your weekend adventures!
ReplyDeleteHmmm ... a blog move, I would be too nervous but agree that blogger can be a bit frustrating at times! But ... at the same time, is any blogging platform perfect?

I love the red squirrel picture!
ReplyDeleteI moved from to Blogger recently because the free version of Wordpress wouldn't allow me to fiddle with my design as much as I would have liked. Or, in fact, much at all. That said, at least I didn't have to go fiddling about with HTML just to get a photo in the middle of my bullet points...
My, my, need to get back to London one day...
ReplyDeleteBtw, I'm using Safari on a Mac and can see your followers (and Thursday is absolutely fine :).
I can see your followers and i'm using safari! But i seem to have had the problem on my blog too where i can't see my followers...bit poo really.
ReplyDeleteI can see them on Safari. :) Those photos are fantastic!

i quite like blogger, i've not had any problems it seems.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics - I had constant strange going-ons with - extra lines on posts, followers not visible and dashboard emptied. They only lasted for 24 hrs at a time but were frustrating. I switched from Internet Explorer 8 to Google Chrome yesterday and it has made a massive difference so far, so would really suggest that move first to see if it irons out yours. I hope so and good luck! Interesting that some move from Wordpress to Blogger - I really thought it was only ever the other way round!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely weekend. And yes, I often think of swapping over to wordpress. Blogger can be frustrating. Hope you have a fabulous week. Emma.
ReplyDeletei love the intimacy in your pictures. as for the platform, I like being on Blogger only because I can also read my google reader and gmail at the same time :D
ReplyDeleteI love the photos! I like your shoes too ;)
ReplyDeleteLike these weekend fragments...
ReplyDeleteYour picture are always so stunning.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! And your shoe selection is always so awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnd I do see what you mean about blogger. There's always something weird going on with blogger...:S
ReplyDeleteInspiring post: love the colours and shapes.
ReplyDeleteI like wordpress, but then I've never blogged in blogger so not a very good comparison. There are still niggles in wordpress and have had a few today that are irritating. I can see your followers - I use google chrome, currently my fave (have used both safari and firefox). Gorgeous pictures (and shoes) as ever :)
