Dan Sews

Helloooo. Do you like Bertie’s new top? My husband Dan made it last night. There’s a new haberdashery/cafe in Islington right by his work called Ray Stitch. After wandering in for a browse yesterday, Dan felt all inspired to make something for Bertie and left with a pattern and this super-cool bicycle fabric. Fast forward to 1.30am this morning, after a few hours and more than a few swear words, it was finished. Bertie seems pretty happy in it. A little bit big for him right now, but that’s good because he can wear it next year too. The style is slightly on the feminine side (in my opinion) even though the pattern was  unisex, but I don’t think Bertie minds!

Well done Dan!

Thank you for your nice messages this week. We are all ok here in London, after a rather sad and depressing week. I’m looking forward to travelling down to Devon this evening to see the family.

Enjoy your weekends and don’t forget my GIVEAWAY! Winners revealed on Monday :)

  5. Woah, very impressed with his Daddy-skills. Think the colour and pattern stops it from looking too girly, so Bertie need not worry!

  19. I have a thing for bicycle patterns and to me it looks more like a play smock than feminine. A sewing papa, wow...can he give my hubby some lessons?!
