Does anyone remember Rainbow Brite?
I had a doll, I’m sure I did....Anyway, I’m just popping in to share
the rainbow that we spied from our window on Friday evening. Bertie was
fascinated by it and awfully disappointed when it disappeared. He kept
going back to the window to look for it!
Hope you’re enjoying your weekends. We’re going to the Foundling Museum
this afternoon. Maisie has wanted to go for a while, as she has been
reading a book with some references to it inside. That’s if we ever make
it out of the door! Both Bertie and Dan are asleep. I can hear a lot of
snoring right now, and it isn’t coming from Bertie.....See you soon.
This is lovelier than the photo I managed to snap of Friday's rainbow! I had a Rainbow Brite doll, too. My dad cut its hair to look like Chucky from Child's Play and stuck it on a bonfire.
ReplyDeleteI had one too. And the pony! Despite the fact that I din't love dolls AND ponys :)!
ReplyDeleteI had some Rainbow Brite stationery, but one of the girls in my class had Rainbow Brite wallpaper and ALL the dolls. I pretended not to be jealous.
ReplyDeletei had a shy violet doll, rainbow bright's best friend!
ReplyDeleteOooh I had the doll too. I remember my friends being very jealous that I had a bigger version than everyone else's! I love rainbows x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rainbow you've caught!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy you sunday at home or at the museum!

Lovely photo, and extra points for a double rainbow! I had rainbow brite pants as a kid, and perhaps a doll I think. I remember once taking sandwiches on a trip to find the end of a rainbow when i was about 10. Needless to say, I didn't find it or any gold.
ReplyDeletei love rainbows.
ReplyDeletehope you had a good time at the museum:)
This is a beautiful rainbow. And yes, I remember Rainbow Brite!!
ReplyDeletethis picture has inspired my little one to sing her rainbow in the sky song. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI remember Rainbow Brite!! Pretty photo : )
ReplyDeleteWonderful rainbow! Is it really a double one or is it just a photo-effect?
ReplyDeleteWe love rainbows and beside the story about the pot with gold there is some traditional meaning to us: Seeing a rainbow we park all our sorrows, problems... under it and walk mentally over them passing the rainbow to surmount them with ease... helped us a lot of times!
Have a good week!

So beautiful... aren't they just magic!? I gave my daughter the middle name Iris because it means rainbrow. I'm obsessed with them...and so yes, I do remember rainbow brite. Quite fondly.
ReplyDeleteSo cute that Bertie keeps looking for it!
Amazing!
