New Year

Helloooooooo It’s 2012! Here’s a smiley, cheeky-faced picture of Bertie, framed by a beer bottle and a wine glass (well it was christmas day *cough*!). So now it is January, please have a look at my new January Links in the sidebar. Hopefully you’ll find some lovely new blogs to follow (although if like me, your language skills aren’t great, you’ll need to use 'translate’ with most of these!).

Happy January! The sun is shining - no January blues here (ok, there were yesterday, but today feels better!)

Any resolutions?? Mine are just the usual - be more organised, tidy, have a more structured week, blah blah blah....(crikey, I sound like the dullest person ever!) My husband Dan’s are usually food related - one year it was ‘get good at making bread,’ another year was ‘learn to make cakes without following a recipe.’ I believe last year’s was ‘eat more good cheese.’ I lose track, but I think this year’s is to 'follow a recipe from a cookery book once a week.’ We are so alike in almost every way, but when it comes to cooking, we are very different -  Cooking makes me MOODY!

Happy New Year from us Seventy Trees!

  1. Kerry!!!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR you fabulous thing!

We had a wonderful christmas and have made some new years 'life' changes... we want to be more self sufficient blah blah- you heard it all before (and I just wrote a long winded post about it... almost as long as this comment... oh gee, its the beer talking)

I'm off to watch River cottage with my Dave man.

    xo em

p.s what ever you do, DON'T be more organised. That would be boring!

  2. Happy new year Kerry. I really don't like cooking either, which is odd considering my obsession with kitchenalia. Hope 2012's a good'en x

  5. Happy new year Kerry. Bertie looks so cute and his smile would make anyone smile more. Scott is also the cook in our house but I feel guilty when he comes in after working all day to make dinner. Not guilty enough to do it myself though :)

  15. My resulotions are like your husbands - before i got my son they were to "drink more good wine", "take a beer more often", and so on. This year mine is to "make all the recipes in my favourite breakfast cookbok".

Happy new, wonderful year to you and your beautiful blog!
