Getting Out

Hello folks! I thought I would share a few pictures from yesterday. We spent the day with Famapa and Omar and it was great to get out of our ‘hood’ for a change - it had been too long! Some glorious sunshine greeted us as we approached the Royal Festival Hall. I love that reassuring feeling when you think, oh yeah, spring; you’re not too far away now, I remember you :)
Even though we didn’t do the things we’d actually set out to do, it was a really nice day. Lots of walking (feeling that today), a chorizo sandwich from Borough Market and brownies from Konditor and Cook (yum). Bertie and Omar enjoyed having a natter on the phones in the Tate Modern too - they’re a funny pair!

Happy weekends! Don’t forget my giveaway over on Facebook - there’s still time!

    1. Thank you :) Yes, the third pic is of broken skateboards. They’re full size - I was just looking down on them from the bridge. It’s known as ‘Skateboard Graveyard’ and it’s where the skaters throw their broken boards! I only know that because my husband used to skate at the Southbank!

  5. Beautiful picture of the boys, I'm curious what they were talking about :)
And I'm a little puzzled about the deck picture; they look like tiny decks, but then again there is also a pair of shoes..and what about the circle-thingy..

  6. It’s skateboard graveyard at the Southbank, where skaters throw their broken boards! You van look down on it from the bridge, which is why they look like mini boards! My husband used to skate there, but he’d put his broken decks on his wall instead!

  12. Oh what a lovely day you had - I love living in Bath but we used to live in Southwark and I loved our Saturday mornings strolling round Borough Market (we got married in the cathedral there!) and those chorizo sandwiches are the best. Yum. Bertie's trousers are ace too. Mrs B x
