Sunday Sunshine

Hello everyone, how are you doing? What a nice weekend we had here! Bristol on Saturday (see previous post) and a sunny, spring-like, family day on Sunday, wandering around, blowing bubbles and playing in the sand. Perfecto. And I finally felt like taking a few pictures again too - yay!

And look at my daughter - I think she has seen so many triangles, she is wearing them too! I very much approve of course. That’s a boy’s H&M hoodie, which I was thinking of getting for myself, but then thought I should get it for Maisie, not me! And she wears it all the time. She was very tired yesterday, having been to a sleepover the night before and not going to sleep until after 4am. I have a feeling she’s going to enjoy a bit of a party when she’s older.....uh-oh!

  3. Such beautiful pictures! The one with the bubbles made me smile :) And how lucky are you to have that spring-time weather over there already!

I'm trying to convince my daughter to go out, too, cause the weather here today is lovely. Still some ice & snow left, but bright and sunny. There's just the matter of getting dressed before going, I'm so looking forward to the days when just a sweater or a pull-over will do... Bertie's look is so cute!

    1. Yes, and why not. Not long ago, Maisie wouldn’t entertain the idea of wearing boys clothes, but now, she’s very cool with it!

  13. Beautiful pictures and such a lovely family, I wish I could meet you at the park :)
Florina is planning a pyjama party for her 11th birthday, which I think is a fun idea, and yesterday she asked if they could have a sleepless night, of course I said no way, but then she negociated: 4 am? 3 am? 2 am? So I have a question for you: are you upset as a parent when you hear that your child barely slept at a sleepover, or you just expect it and it's "part of the deal" in a way? And wouldn't it be a killjoy to go to a sleepover with parents sending you to bed early? Do you think there must be a limit, though?
Ah sorry there's so many questions here!

    1. Hi Annabelle, sorry for the late reply! It’s a tricky one really. I think you just have to expect that they’re not going to get the sleep they usually would! It’s too exciting for them. Maisie has been and had several sleepovers now, and she is always one of the worst for not sleeping! She always goes to bed very early the next night! I think they generally go to bed and then the parents have to keep going in to tell them to be quiet! That’s what usually happens. Eventually they give in! But it’s always pretty late! x

What is she reading? Greetings from my book pages to hers. And to you!
