We have been enjoying the glorious weather, which has finally arrived! You never know how long it’ll stick around for in this country, so you have to make the most of it. Bertie would happily play with water all day long, so he’s quite happy out on the balcony with a plastic box of water and some things to pour with. As you can see in the last picture, all that pouring and sunshine is quite hard work for a 2 year old - this is a live post - he’s still there sleeping right this minute (detrimental to bedtime, no doubt)!
Thank you so much for all your Copenhagen tips! You have all been so very helpful - what a fantastic response - wowzers! I’m going to start putting together a list of ideas now. Very happy :) on Wednesday, I’ll announce the winner of the goodies! |
On The Balcony

looks like his hair is getting darker. enjoy this ridiculous sunshine!
ReplyDeleteHi Amy - hope you’re enjoying it too! His hair is still pretty blonde - deceiving pictures, perhaps. I think he will get darker as he gets older - believe it or not, he’s 1/4 Indian and 1/8 Burmese!!
Deleteaww, the sun really wacks them out doesn't it? those plastic tubs are great! we used our to squeeze the kids in (no paddling pool) hah. it is SO hot though, I need a rainy day now to balance my feelings out towards all this sun and heat! heh :P hope bedtime goes well! although, with these summer hours, our bedtimes are non-existent!
ReplyDeleteCertainly does- and me too! I saw your tub...who needs a paddling pool! I think rain is on its way. It never lasts long :)
DeleteAs long as it is refreshing rain, for like...one day...then back on track with the sunshine ; ) our house is like an oven, and our garden is infested with flies from the farm...a swimming pool would be SO nice right now! wish i could fit in them tubs ;P
DeleteHa, yes I wish I could too! Oh boo to the flies. We had a serious ladybird infestation last year, but 'touch wood', they aren’t around at the moment. They were everywhere - Maisie had 30 in her room at one point :( I don’t like ladybirds!
DeleteLovely colours in these photos, they are just so fresh and breezy! Our weather has just turned from baking sun to pouring rain - just in time for the evening which is a bit typical I'd say!
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you Polly. Sorry to hear the rain has arrived. I’m sure it’ll turn up here before long! Have a nice evening x
DeleteElles sont belles ces photos ensoleillées.
ReplyDeleteMerci! :)
DeleteWho needs a pool? ;)
ReplyDeletesquidgie arms - toddler boys are the best
ReplyDeleteAaaw, I know - and their squidgie legs too - especially when they scuttle around in just a nappy!
DeleteBusy little man! We've been playing with water too. Washing her little animals in a bowl :)
ReplyDeleteHe certainly is! they always love water play - Bertie likes washing his cars and animals too - he and Bella would probably play nicely together! :) x
DeleteI think I need the Bertie boy to pour that watering can over my head repeatedly. I'm blinkin' boiling! x
ReplyDeleteHaha - I’m sure if you were here, he gladly would! x
DeleteThat is how I always feel after a hard day playing in the sun. It's so rare around here I think I just use up all my energy on excitement!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely idea with the Copenhagen thing, my family went when I was younger but I can't say I remember much. I'm planning on making a trip up through all the Scandinavian countries next Spring so would be great to see what tips you get.
Here's to plenty more sunny days :)
That’s so true - rare, and probably on its way out now! Oooh lucky you, next year! I’d love to do a tour around them too. I hope you’ll find some useful tips too :)

such lovely photos! love that all he needed was some water for fun, though to be honest I would have been far happier if I had some water to play with these past couple of days!
ReplyDeleteThanks Charmaine - yes, know what you mean! Although I wasn’t so impressed when he decided to pour some water onto the chair I was sat on - wet trousers, thanks Bertie!
DeleteI'd need that little cute gardener with me now! Could you please send him over? He would have a lot of fun in my (super messy) garden.
