Day 365

My new scarf (thanks mum). New tea discovery...white tea = delicious. My husband's new obsession, bread baking (also delicious). An afternoon in Budleigh Salterton (East Devon)...sooo cold, with roller blading, pebbles and a sweet shop. Now it's time for dinner, homemade popcorn and The NeverEnding Story on dvd.

Happy New Year Everyone. Thanks for stopping by and joining in! I hope 2011 is the best one yet!

Christmas Joy (1)

Hello lovely people! I hope you all had wondrous and joyful Christmases. I must say, that ours really was a lovely London Christmas with family, good food and festive fun. A great first Christmas for little Bertie.
I just wanted to share a few pictures with you today. Firstly, of my very special present from Dan, Maisie and Bertie...a Diana Mini...I have wanted one for aaages, so receiving one (and in white) made me a happy lady!
Next...Berties bottom! In his new baby leggings. They are scrumptious, and we have three other designs too (owl, reindeer and panda), which I'm sure I will photograph and post at some point. I got these on Ebay (search for 'baby leggings') after a friend recommended them. Really warm and only about £3.00 including postage.
And finally, arriving home to my Weekday Carnival package was like another Christmas for me. I ordered one of her garlands recently, and it was waiting for me on my return, (plus a gorgeous notebook and postcard). Thank you...I love them!

For Now...

Have a wonderful Christmas time everyone. See you very soon x

Seven...

I was recently and very kindly given a 'Versatile Blogger' award from a very nice lady with a very nice blog. She won my giveaway in fact. I'm supposed to divulge seven things that you probably wouldn't know about me, and then pass it on to seven blogs that I enjoy. It has been ages since I joined in with something like this, so I thought It would be fun to play along. Here goes...

1. I always thought my path would be in music. I play the piano, guitar and violin.

2. I used to write songs and made an album a few years ago. There are still a few songs in me yet though...

3. I'm a fast runner (over short distances)!

4. I don't sew, knit, or cook. But wish I could. Too impatient.

5. We're moving to London in the spring...having realised that 'country life' is not for us.

6. I have a very good sense of direction. My husband does not. Drives me mad!

7. I am very hard of hearing. I have hearing aids, but I forget to wear them.

There...a few boring things about me! Seven lovely blogs...

Join in if you fancy it!

Stuck (2)

Sorry for all the snow posts! I know it's the norm for many of you, but it's such a novelty here...and at the moment, whilst we're now stranded in over a foot of snow, it's the main thing going on in my life!
We're supposed to be travelling up to London for Christmas, but it's looking very unlikely. Luckily my mum lives around the corner, so we can gatecrash their Christmas day! The worst thing for me at the moment is I'm on my last carton of soya milk! Aaaahhhh!

A Beautiful Home

This has got to be my ideal home of the moment, and I think it's beautiful! The house (in Sweden), belongs to the writer of a very inspirational blog, and is for sale here if you fancy it?! The house has also appeared on this nice blog I follow....She and I  share very similar tastes in homes.

Brrrr, It's Cold Outside

Make that f-f-f-freeeezing! We've been cosying up inside mostly, but I truly have witnessed some of the most spectacular and beautiful-makes-me-glad-I'm-alive, wintry scenes over the past couple of days!
It has been a breathtaking, frost-kissed wonderland here.

HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY MAISIE! (Ten today! I can't believe I have a ten year old)!

New.

I have listed this original pen and ink drawing of mine in the shop. It's on A4, recycled brown paper, and I sketched it the other night when I was feeling all wintry/cosy. I know I am biased, but I think it looks rather sweet framed, and If no one buys it, then it'll be a keeper for my wall instead! Of course I would rather one of you lovely people bought it though....he he!
Also, my gocco Bare Bears are in the shop....limited runs...go, go, go and get yours now!
Update...this is now sold. Thank you!

Inspiration And Snow

Thank you Anna G for this wonderful link! The work of photographer Patrick Johansson. So many gorgeous interiors. Plenty of images for the inspiration files!

I hope you are all well and happy. The snow has reached Devon at last, and it's pretty bad in our village, so I have Maisie home from school which is always nice. The fire is lit, Bertie's having a nap, Maisie is writing her Christmas cards and I'm drinking copious amounts of tea (nothing new there). Have lovely days x

You can still buy an A4 print and get an A5 print free in my shop.

He's Off!

He's ten months now, and has taken his first unaccompanied steps (without his brick trolley) Almost time for shoe shopping! Does anyone know where I can buy an extra pair of eyes for the back of my head?
